They are ready for more responsibilities as “big kids”.  
 

This program is set up to get the prekindergarten-aged children ready for school through an emphasis on academics.  They are now able to take on more responsibilities and be more independent.  During this stage we encourage the children to experiment, explore and pursue their own interests.  Teachers will provide the children opportunities to make their own choices, to promote problem solving and will establish activities that allow creative expression.

New subjects include: Literacy:  the use of language and words (writing their name, recognizing written letters) Math: numbers, recognizing patterns and relationships) and many more.
